Dato: 07.02.2020 Hello, I'm editor-in-chief of Germany's biggest sea-fishing-mag, Kutter & Küste. I think the idea only to allow whole fish (without head & guts) to be taking out of Norway, makes nothing better, but even worse. What shall a fisherman do if he catches a 10 kilo torsk? Taking it home as whole? Totally unpractable. And what's about strange size fishes like kveite? A 10 kilo kveite in whole? If this rule will be set, I garantee many bigger fishes will be sent back in the sea after catch - maybe hurted by fight or because they came up from deeper water, what happens often. So you will have a complete contraproductive behaviour as what you aspected to get. The Canadians do it in centuries like that: you are only allowed to take out whole filets - the skin must be still on the fish so that control officers can check which fish it is. You can rule also the species in numbers: per person i.e. 5 torsk, 10 sei, 2 kveite and so on. That's much better to get control on the fish stocks and what the anglers catch. Feel free contacting me via mail: info@rainerkorn.de If you like I could visit Norway to help finding new rules which help all: the fish, the tourists, the Norwegians.
