As a non-Norwegian citizen living in Longyearbyen with German nationality, I am shocked by the perspective that I would not be able to participate in my local elections. Elections that have a direct impact on the local government and society that I live in. In my view, this would create a two-class society and led to substantial tensions in our community. I strongly raise my for having the possibilities for all registered locals to vote in the local elections.
